  1. The saddest part of all of this is that they did this to a legendary gaming franchise, and not to mention aiming it towards children, which to me is sickening beyond belief. And also that, what they did cast a dark shadow on all future Crash and Spyro projects going forward.

  2. I have no problem with microtransactions as long as companies are honest about it prior to the release of a game, giving customers the option to decide if they wish to purchase the game. Now if someone purchases the game knowing their will be microtransactions and don't like the result, that's their fault.

However…. Activation went so far as to say there would be no microtransactions in order to lure customers into buying their game, only to introduce microtransactions once game sales leveled off – that is despicable, because they deliberately misled their customers in order to sell the game.

  3. Honestly I have no idea what's all the fuss about this term of microtransaction, anyone who actually read what Activision did and actually plays the game shouldn't be too upset due to the fact all Activision did was implement a way for people to get more wumpa coins if they don't have the time of the average gamer to buy their favourite cosmetic, purchasing wumpa coins is completely optional this has nothing to do or has any way in affecting the grind to attain these very items for free, it simply gives the gamer with the extra dollar but not all the free time in the world the chance to attain the items for less the grind IF THEY CHOOSE TO.

  4. i bough the game, because at the time, it did not have the update, and when i heard there will be a update, i had no idea ??? it would have transactions !!! ?? thank GOODNESS , I DON'T PLAY ON LINE..!! BUT I AM VERY UPSET , AT ACT-VISION , lOVE THE GAME , AND i DON'T BUY ANY THING , BUT EARN WHAT I GET.. i DON'T LIKE TO BE tricked! BUT WITH ALL GOING ON IN THE WORLD, WITH THESE BIG STORMS, FLOODING , ITS HARD TO FIT THESE TALKS IN CONGRESS .. as in the begging , the Congress was going to bring up Micro transactions , and vote for some kind of restrictions on Micro transactions .. There has to be a change , in video games, other wise , all of us we buy a game, for 60.00 not knowing , were being brain wash , to pay more money in the games and kids , will be tort to gamble , and steel money , because they get addicted , in paying for that high , of being powerful in the game .. ACTIVISION DON'T GET IT…. THEY JUST WANT THE BIG MONEY..

  5. Oh no! Microtransactions for cosmetic items and new skins, what a shame!…

Dude, relax! Usually I'm agree with you, but not this time. Those microtransactions would be a pain in the ass if what they offer affect the game experience with OP karts or OP characters, but they don't, it is just an open option in case that you want to get a "nice painting" for your kart.

Personally, I don't give a shit about that, I can play with the original characters with my friends and thats something I am happy with.

  6. It can only continue like this as long as people are so dumb that they give money for these really greedy companies rewarding these a**holes with money for their evil ways!
The only reason they can do it, is because of dumb people who buy their cr*p, and support them throught cash shops!
As soon as cash shop appears in a game, just stop playing the game, that's all you have to do to save gameing,
and don't start playing "freemium", or pay to win games if you want games to be great again!

  7. I knew they were going to do this. I bought it because it was a good game and based on the knowledge it had no microtransactions but in the back of my mind – I knew Activision couldn’t be trusted. Well, colour me surprised.

They’ve burned up any trust and goodwill they had with this. I’m done with company. DONE! ✅

  8. Glad at least these micro transactions are just the coins for now, the bad thing is that the easiest way to get them is through online play which you have to pay for smh…

  9. I personally just have to boycott the game. I enjoy it, but without PS Plus you cant unlock anything you actually want. The game plays great, but not good enough to where it doesn't feel like a mobile game.

  10. I was about to buy this game on a sale. thank goodness I didn't. I don't wanna have to be spending money on dlc. ill probably just get sonic team racing instead.

  11. Fuck MTX for real.

Imo, if you still want to play a game laden with MTX, wait for the game to be sold used, and then NEVER buy any MTX. You still get to play the game, avoid MTX, and most importantly, avoid giving them a sale. They can't count a sale unless it's new, so…

But never forget, YOU hold the power to fight against this garbage. Your most powerful weapon is your wallet.

  12. Is there no one to convince enough people to boycott this fucking company? How can "fans" be so loyal they're willing to pay 100+ bucks on a single game? If there's enough content to justify the price fine I can accept that but no that would be too much work and would take too long for Activision. Get bent.

  13. I’d say Activision is worse than EA because at least EA is scared of the fan backlash, Activision doesn’t care they have loot boxes in COD even though others got scared of them being called gambling because they are gambling

  14. I was gonna get this game, hell I would have gotten it on both the Switch and PC/PS4 possibly all three but then they made it bad by add Microtransactions so it’s a bad game now

  15. Fixing the problem of the game being full of grinding with Microtransactions is like fixed me hitting your foot with a sledgehammer by selling you some panadol(pain killers) expect the panadol tables are actually laxatives because they give you the shits

  16. thank you for putting this in the spotlight. i appreciate this information as it will help make more informed purchases in the future, which is invaluable in the current state of games.
