LG’s new 34UC97 is essentially a curved version of their 34UM95, a monitor that I use on a daily basis at work. I LOVE the UM95, but does the curve of the UC97 make it an even better choice?

|AWESOME JUST AWESOE
Thanks for the reviews. Great stuff. I have an off topic question from myself and my son. What was the game playing in the background that had the floating pirate ship? We'd love to try the game.
Back on topic, I am looking at options to replace my two 13 year old Samsung SyncMaster 243T, originals at $3700 AU. They are still awesome, leaving many of the new 24" 1920×1200 screens for dead , but the internal power supplies are cutting out in summer after about 4 hours of use. Time to upgrade. I've looked at Dell and many others over the past couple of years and nothing to date has grabbed me. To be quite honest the newer screens seem to be of lower quality, grainy and irritating to the eyes compared to the old 243T. The latest LG 27" just does not do it for me on size because I'd like a little more vertical space, but your review indicates the screen quality is excellent. I'm now leaning towards the LG31MU97 but at that price, it has got me thinking about using a curved 4K TV 49" or so. A bit high for desktop use, but single screen versus two. Any thoughts on this approach?
