Jason Fieber retired and moved to Thailand at the age of 33…
He’s a best-selling author and the creator of the popular investment blogs Dividend Mantra and Mr Free at 33.
Jason is a real rags-to-riches story and in this episode, I sat down with him to discuss; why he moved to Chiang Mai in Thailand, how he created an online blog with 500,000 readers per month and how he invested almost 70% off his net income into the stock market.

Does it make sense to keep a US address even if ur permanently retiring to Thailand?
2 years later, I enjoyed this even more. This thing should’ve went viral.
Great interview with a lot of useful advice. Don’t get the rent vs owning the house at all as monthly it’s basically two times less payments wise to pay a mortgage than to rent. I own my freehold though so nobody can really make me fix my roof. 😄
The air pollution in Chiang Mai is terrible
Jason is a very interesting gentleman. I will read his story again..Right on Jason! I need your help as well.
A very interesting and inspiring man.
This is so wonderful. Very inspiring.
AWESOME interview!!! Perfect video! Keep 'em coming! And I couldn't help but say it: Intrinsic value (27:24), “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.” -Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTRKCXC0JFg
Avoiding ads has helped soooo much in changing my mindset and spending.
Great! Thank you!
this is very inspiring story about Jason, I actually have been watching his channel and didn't know his life story. Good luck both of you!
Inspiring story.. just get that intense will to FI/RE and cut expenses to the bone! Work on the psychological framing so that material wealth means nada compared to freedom 🏝 💸
Wow, incredible interview.
I miss living in Chiang Mai
Wow. I had never seen your channel or your interviewee before. I thought this was going to be some dumb bro talk but damn, this guy's story is so relatable and inspiring. I grew up in bumass Cleveland and never felt happier and more productive than the three months I lived in Thailand before the pandemic.
I'm definitely getting back when I can.
This is the second time I've watched this video in the last couple of years and I wanted to say that this is totally inspiring. You're both cool guys and I admire your honesty. I aim to move to Chiang Mai June 22. Albeit Covid and related restrictions don't get any worse. But speaking to you Brett on a video call a few months ago, plus this guy's honest story, both immensely fill me with enthusiasm. Thanks so very much.
Thanks guys, this was great.
Great interview!
Lol, I've got a good work ethic . . Proceed to tell a story about sleeping at work 😂
Led Zeppelin reference, saw them twice live, great, great band.
This is a great video! I'm from the samew areas in Michigan and its great to see somebody make it out and succeed! Thanks for making this.
Excellent video
Hi Brett, chance of a part II with Jason?
Straight up David Goggins level inspiring.
I knew Jason when he lived in Florida — very interesting guy! Dedicated to his goals…
Remember the geographic arbitrage part — he went to an inexpensive cost-of-living country. That is key to his freedom…
